A common issue of the V-Max 1200, a leaking clutch-slave cylinder.
The motorcycle has been standing for a few weeks, you want to start driving, but there is no pressure on the clutch lever. The clutch fluid leaked at the bottom of the engine at the slave cylinder, either because the seals have hardened, or after approx. 40000 km the release piston or the cylinder surface are worn out. Don't forget to order item no. 843J, as the cardan cover has to come off to get to the clutch slave cylinder. |
